Devious Journal Entry

Hello, hello. Just dropping in to announce that I will be increasing my online presence. I'll be doing some print giveaways in the future.

Life has been great. I've been exploring many different creative outlets and have discovered more of myself in the process. Many of you might not know it, but I am a classically trained singer, and I've been getting into the writing scene (courtesy of the prodding of a dear client of mine). I'll be performing Brahms Requiem next month with the local symphony and entering a writing contest. The past few months have taught me that art can be found in many forms. You may find that in the future, I will be sharing tidbits and experiences that I have learned across all avenues of artistic expression.

Right now, I am working on a fun little project during my off time. Here's a sneak peek. I hope to do a blog entry soon on creating depth in portrait work. Specifically on how to blend shadows, different types of shadows, and how being confident in your lighting creates a more lifelike piece.



In the commercial realm, I've been working working working. I'm keeping a tight lid on things, but sufficeth to say, I've been loving branching out and putting the pretty elves and fairies to the side. Here's a hint of some of my recent work:
